I am a Responsible Netizen

           For the past few decades, people find a way to express their feelings and views regarding to the happenings in their life. They couldn’t express their thoughts completely. It’s like you’re in a cage and you’re a dove wanting freedom.

            But thanks to those people who pioneered these changes which is crucial in our lives. There came the newspapers and media and not only those things because the worldwide net emerged and enter in our lives. The net emerged during the 20^th century from the great minds of Tim Berners Lee and CERN, a nuclear research centre in Switzerland. They were the one who created the Worldwide Web. This breakthrough became one of the most interesting things in our lives.

            We can do so many things on the net. We can get researches from it. We can speak to our love ones abroad. And as it goes further, we can speak out our thoughts to the world. We think that everything is possible to reach with the net.

            But just like any other breakthroughs, it can be harmful if it was abused, not just us but also for others who benefit from it. Example will be child pornography and cyber sex. Even though there are some who still practicing it, it is immoral especially to the side of the victims used in the said operations.

            Before dreadful things would happen, it’s important if we would consider the things that we will do and words that we will speak. Just like in blogging, I think we should not be too direct in criticizing famous people and TV personalities. These can put us in unsure situations. We don't know but maybe they would file a case against if ever they would know about it.

            Therefore, we should be a responsible netizen. We should exercise discipline in ourselves. These may be a boring thing for those who just speak and speak without contemplating what they are going to say. But for those people who always see safety in every things that they do, being responsible is better than being proud and loud.
